- A GMDA survey in August 2026 found moderate to severe encroachment on the road, including an informal mandi on a service road in Sector 61. Check where the truck can stand outside your society.
- Ask the society office what it needs before a moving truck arrives, such as the vehicle number, crew details or a booked service lift.
Is there a metro?
Not on the road itself. Rapid Metro Gurugram’s second phase runs from Sikandarpur to Sector 56. A Sector 56 to Panchgaon line has been proposed through Sectors 56, 61, 65 and 66; in September 2026 the state asked for its revised project report, so it has no construction date yet.
When is the road worst?
Gurugram floods in heavy rain, and Golf Course Extension Road appears in news reports of waterlogged roads in 2025 and 2026. If you move between July and September, keep a flexible date and ask the mover how it protects goods while unloading.
What do I set up after moving in?
- Electricity is supplied by DHBVN. To open a connection in your name, a tenant can use the rent deed as proof of occupancy; DHBVN acknowledges a complete application within 2 days and inspects within 7.
- Ask the society or landlord who supplies water. GMDA takes new water connections online only in areas under its jurisdiction, and runs a tanker booking for colonies its pipelines do not reach yet.
- Your landlord files the tenant police verification, and the rent agreement is stamped under Haryana rules.
